Last year, my sister planned with a few friends and cousins of mine and they threw me a surprise birthday at a friend’s place. The person responsible to take me to the venue called me and asked me to escort him to a friend’s place to pick juice. I thought it was a bother to escort someone on a Sunday afternoon. At 2pm but when I got there, SURPRISE! I felt totally pranked but it was beautiful.

I love surprises and when I am surprised, I can’t help it but beam.

Has God ever surprised you? He has surprised me so many times and I’ll tell you about one of those times. I had no money on me and it was in the middle of the month so I did not expect any money at all. Worse still, I was feeling unwell and so I urgently needed that money. I went to office and surprise…

God truly amazed me. I had to write it down in my journal.

“Dad, imagine I went to work without any hope of getting anything but then you amazed me with 20,000/=. Unfortunately I can’t even save much because I have already spent 10,000/= on malaria tabs and 1,500/= on painkillers.”

The Bible says in Luke 11:9-10 says Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened.

Friend, the secret is in asking. You’re Father in heaven knows what you want and He will surprise you when you least expect it. It reminded me of a song that says, “He loves me and knows what is very best for me”. He does. He knows you need it and He will provide, especially when you least expect it. He loves surprising His children. He does.
